If you love to eat briyani then you will love to eat this coriander mint chicken.I love coriander and mint flavour.After making  briyani  there was leftover coriander and mint,so thought of making this yummy and tasty coriander mint chicken.

This coriander mint chicken goes well with rice,chapati,naan,parotta.Here is the step by method to make coriander mint chicken.

Ingredients

Chicken              – 750 gms
Oil                      – 6 tbsp
Salt
Fennel seeds     – 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds     – 1/2 tsp
Onion                 – 1 chopped finely
Tomato              – 1 small chopped
Cardamom        – 3
Cloves               – 3
Bayleaf              – 4
Star Anis           – 1
Cinnamon         – 1 small stick
Red chilli powder     – 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder    – 2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste   – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder      – 1/2 tsp

Marination

Yogurt                       – 6 tsp
Salt
Turmeric powder      – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala          – 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste    – 1 tbsp

Grinding

Cilantro           – 1 medium bunch
Mint leaves      – 1 small bunch
Green chilli      – 2

Step by step method to make Coriander mint chicken

1.Marinate chicken Yogurt – 6 tsp,Salt,Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp,Garam masala – 1/2 tsp,Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp for 2 hrs.Keep refrigerated.coriander chicken9

2.Heat kadai,add oil,when oil gets hot add fennel seeds ,cumin seeds.They start to sizzle.

coriander chicken13.Now add whole garam masala ,onion to it.Saute until onion turns golden brown.

4.Then add ginger garlic paste.

5.Add chopped tomato and cook until tomato gets mashed thoroughly

6.Toss red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder to it.Give quick stir.

7.Reduce flame to medium and then add marinated chicken ,stir quickly,else yogurt gets separated from gravy .

8.Add 2 glass of water and let chicken gets cooked thoroughly.Add salt

9.Gring mint,coriander and green chilli into paste with little water and add to cooked chicken gravy.

10.Let gravy gets cooked until we reach desired consistency.Keep stirring continuously  otherwise gravy will get burnt at bottom.

11.Serve with rice,chapathi,idli,dosa

Note

1.Saute onion until brown,donot burn onion.

2.Keep stirring after adding mint,coriander paste else gravy will get burnt.
