Garlic rasam recipe|Poondu rasam recipe
Garlic – 8 small pods
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 3/4 tsp
Green chilli -1
Tomato – 1 big
Tamarind – small lemon size
Hing – pinch
Coriander leaves – garnishing
Mustard seeds – 3/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
Garlic crushed – 5 small no.s
Oil – 1 1/2 tsp
1.Blanch tomato and peel skin.
2.Grind Garlic,cumin seeds,black pepper,green chilli into coarse texture and transfer it to bowl
3.Soak tamarind in warm water to squeeze tamarind juice.Grind peeled tomato into fine paste,add it to same bowl with extracted tamarind juice and grinded rasam mix
4.Add 2 glass water and salt to it
5.Heat a pan,add oil to it ,Once oil gets hot add mustard seeds.Mustard seeds start to crackle ,now add fenugreek seeds,fenugreek seeds start to splutter,now drop crushed garlic to it and saute till raw smell goes off.
6.Now add hing and curry leaves to it
7.Transfer it to rasam.
8.Now switch on stove and let rasam boil till froth is seen.
