Shahi Chicken korma|How to make Murgh Shahi Korma recipe
Getting bored of eating spicy chicken gravy,want to try different style with different taste.Here comes Shahi chicken korma recipe with step by step method.Shahi chicken korma cooked with little spicy and to enhance taste and creamy texture i have added cashew paste.We can grind almond or poppy seeds instead of cashew.This chicken korma is little sweet as i have added cashew paste to get creamy texture and saute onion until brown to extract the sweetness from onion
Shahi chicken goes well with roti,naan,poori,white rice
Chicken – 750 gms
Oil – 7 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 3/4 tsp
Fennel seeds – 3/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Onion – 1 big chopped
Tomato – 2 big
Green chilli – 1
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Cardamom – 3
Cloves – 3
Bayleaf – 4
Star Anis – 1
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Step by step method to make Shahi Chicken Korma
1.In a pan heat oil,when oil gets hot add fennel seeds,cumin seeds to it.They start to sizzle,then add whole garam masala,onion to it,Saute onion until golden brown,then add ginger garlic paste to it.
2.Add grind tomatoes to it and cook until raw smell goes off.
3. Add Chicken ,red chilli powder,garam masala ,turmeric powder ,salt ,green chilli and add two glass of water, cook in medium flame .
4.Grind cashews with little water and keep it aside .When chicken gets completely cooked,now add grinded cashew paste to it with little water for gravy.
5.Add salt if required and cook for 1 min.After adding cashews keep stirring else gravy gets burnt at bottom.
6.Serve with rice,chapathi,naan,parotta
1.Saute onion until brown to get sweetness to korma,donot burn it,then chicken korma gets bitter taste.
2.We can add grinded almond or 3 tsp grinded poppy seed paste instead of cashews.
